Ever Dearest Jun,
I am writing you this letter for your special day. I want to wish you a happy 22nd birthday and hope that you have many more special days to come. You are probably wondering how i found out about you and why it is you out of all the members of Arashi i am writing to.
I found out about you about 3 or 4 months ago from my best friend Melissa Dayao. She had watched a drama you were in called "Gokusen", I was asking her if she knew any cute guys so she showed me a picture of the entire cast of the show. From the moment i saw the picture, I somehow could not take my eyes off you. I knew that you were something special and I somehow had to find out more about you. She let me borrow her dvds of the first three episodes of the show and I was just blown away by your acting. You were unlike any other actor I have ever seen in my life. I had a crush on you, and still today my feelings for you have never changed. Don't get me wrong, I know you are more than just a pretty face. You were a person who believed in the three F's- Family, Friends, and Fans.
I soon found out that you were in a jpop group called Arashi. I went to Little Tokyo in downtown Los Angeles and bought your first cd. "Number 1: Ichigou" and "Here we go" I loved all of the songs on each cd. My fave song was " Ima Ai wo Katarou" which in english means "Let's Talk About Love" . I listened to your cd each and every moment of the day. A few weeks later I got Arashi's third cd "How's it Going". When i listened to your solo for "blue" i completely melted and I could not help smiling. Your voice took me to a far off place where i forgot all about my burdens and worries in life. Even though I could not understand what you were saying I know what the song meant, by only the tone and sweetness of your voice.
You are very unique compared to all the other members of Arashi. You had a smile that lit up a whole room, and lit up my heart. You were also the one who matured physically. You use to be a cute, round faced boy and now you are a mature young man who makes all his fans feel special. When I read that your fave food was any kind of noodles, i smiled because noodles are my fav food also.
Your smile, your voice, and everything about you touched my heart. You helped me to understand what life meant, you helped me to understand that life is short and we should live everyday as if it were our last.
It hurts me that I don't live in Japan, because I don't get to go to your concerts or watch your tv shows. So I hope that by writing you this letter it is my only way of ever reaching you. Family and friends told me to go back to reality and that your 21 years old and living the good life and im 14 years old barely in high school. They said i had no chance with you, I knew I had no chance but i just could not let you go. One day you will make a beautiful girl very happy, I may hate and envy her but as long as you are happy I am happy also. I just hope that whoever you fall in love with, she makes you happy and undertstands the fact that you are senstitive when it comes to relationships. You deserve only a girl who treats you how you want to be treated and loves you for you, not for your fame.
Still today, people tell me to let you go, but i somehow can't. It is because of you I learned to appreciate the japanese culture more. Whenever I had a bad day, I would take out your picture and your smile chased the dark clouds out of my life away. Even though it was raining, the rainclouds went away and the sun shone down on me.
To me you are worth more than your looks, you make me happy and one day you will make a special person happy as well.
Jun, please just do me one favor, just please continue to be you and don't change for anyone. Please also continue to put a smile and my face, and all your other fans around the world. I hope that you will always know that you have a fan here in california who hopes to visit japan one day to maybe meet you and tell you that you had a big impact on my life.
Whatever path you choose to take in acting or singing, im sure it will be the right path. Please don't stop smiling because i love to see that cute little face light up.
